Vettriano is currently working on a series of paintings on a French Riviera theme, including the one featured here, Blades, which will feature in an exhibition in 2009.

A very rare drawing, entitled 'Beautiful Dreamer', was donated to the Oriel Plas Glyn-Y-Weddw Gallery in North Wales and made £22,000 at their charity fund raising auction on Saturday 26th July. Click HERE to read full coverage about the story on the BBC's website.

A painting that will be auctioned in October this year is Olympia, a portrait of Zara Phillips, that Vettriano painted as part of a charity fund-raising project for Sport Relief 2008. Click HERE for more information.
